Saturday-9 Hour Marathon Shopping!!
Sep 22nd, 2009 by Melinda

Mom has a subscription to the FN magazine- some yummy recipes in there

I drank this whole bottle before we got to Florida and I had to GO so bad!!! They all thought it was so funny
My other french nails lasted about a week or so- I had enough to do another set from the kit so I did them on the way- I just love these Kiss Nails, easy enough to do in the car, but also so pretty!
We stopped by The Bread Wagon and got a few things- it’s run by the Amish and they make lots of homemade goodies!
I saw these around the blogworld so I wanted to give them a try- they’re good but they’re not my fave
We ate at Tan’s Asian Cafe for lunch- Uncle Bobby treated us for lunch
the hubby and I shared the Kung Pao Tofu- the waitress divided it out so that we had 2 seperate plates which I thought was nice
The Kung Pao Tofu was delish! I could only eat about 1/2 though- so I saved the other half for later.
Since the thrift shop was so close- they let me run in and I found 2 cute dresses, this was one of them
This one…not so much- it was too tight and too short
I ordered a grande Autumn Reserve Coffee to share with the hubby - it was good
(Picture taken from Google images since I forgot to take a pic)
Can you guess which book I bought??
We also went to our Co-op, New Leaf Market- I told Uncle Bobby I would just be a minute which turned out to be umm about 2 hours. I tried to explain to him that 1 Melinda minute = 1 hour hehe I don’t think he appreciated the math lesson- He may or may not go shopping with me next time…
Next, we went to Costco!
They had organic Quinoa
And these all natural Madras Lentils
My Grocery Cart minus a couple several items
Next we went to Target (pronounced Tarjay) -I liked this dress and I bought the one on the right as well- they had lots of cute dresses
Uncle Bobby rushed me out so I didn’t get to look at everything
The Total at New Leaf was about $98 but I had lots of coupons so I ended up paying about $76!! Love coupons
We also bought 2 small containers of Tabouleh salad which Mom & I ate yum
Notice the 2 containers of raw milk & raw cheese, ezekiel cereals & wraps as well- I can’t find these items where I live so I always stock up
Costo Grocery #1 (Hubby’s foods) Mom bought these cookies and gave them to Reggie
Costco Grocery #2 - the organic veggies, almond butter & organic carrot juice are mine, rest is the hubby’s
Mixture of items bought from World Market, T.J. Maxx and the Bread Wagon
And my T.J. Maxx purchases- LOVE my new sunglasses!
Those dresses were $10 each!!

Wow. You REALLY stocked up lol. Bolthouse makes great carrot juice, but Odwalla is cheaper around here and I like that brand too. You must try Trader Joe’s Peanut butter pretzels. I’ve had regular, and I’ve had TJ’s, and they’re just better for some reason
Fun pics! I want to try those peanut butter pretzels - YUM! Love the dresses, and your ring is SO pretty! I want to subscribe to Food Network and Clean Eating - they have such great stuff! You got so many groceries - NICE - I love coupons too!
Couple things -
1. Those tasty bite lentils are REALLY REALLY good!!
2. Love that white purse you ended up getting!!
3. I totally pronounce it Tar-jay
I’m wildly jealous of you
This sounds fab… I love those dresses… The second thrift store one has so much potential… you know if you chopped off a couple of inches lol. Too bad! You have good taste though!
Great shopping trip, whoa!! You are a professional, lol
