The Cake plate was looking a little bare so I thought What can I make??

 

Of course! Apple pie- since I have so many apples from our apple picking adventure! I was too lazy to make a pie crust- so I just bought a Publix brand Pie crust

 

After peeling a ton about six apples- I tossed it with the remaining ingredients

Apple Pie Recipe

• 6 Cups Golden Delicious apples- peeled and sliced
• 1 Tsp. Lemon Juice
• 3/4 cup organic cane sugar
• 1/2 cup organic brown sugar
• 1/2 cup King Authur wheat flour
• 3/4 Tsp. Cinnamon

Mix all ingredients together by hand in a bowl. Pour into pie crust. Put Second pie crust on top of apple slices and use a fork to press down the outer crust. Brush crust with organic cream (half & half), Sprinkle with organic cinnamon & organic cane sugar mixed together all over crust. Last, dot with cold organic butter. Bake at 375 degrees for 50-60 minutes. (I placed a cookie sheet on the next tier so that if the juices or butter overflowed it wouldn’t get in the oven). Let Cool, then devour have a slice of yummy pie

 

 

And poured it into the pie crust (I used the tiny apple pieces as well, next time I will just use the slices)

 

Brushed the crust with organic cream, dusted it with organic cane sugar & organic cinnamon & dotted it with organic butter- now it’s ready to go into the oven!

 

 

After about 50 minutes- it was done and the house smelled SO good!

 

 

And the cake plate & the hubby lived Happily Ever After…The End

Btw, I did have a small slice and this is the BEST Apple Pie that I have ever eaten in my entire life- no joke! My hubby said the same thing- I’ve actually made another pie just like this one since- he said I should bake this for Thanksgiving for my family. Which I think I will along with some homemade chocolate chip cookies (If I don’t bring them- all of the kids will shun me be sad). If you try out this apple pie recipe- let me know!
