Fun Weekend!
Nov 23rd, 2009 by Melinda
So, Friday afternoon, we headed down to my sister’s house so I could spend the night there and get up super early the next morning to help get my Mom moved in her new house!
This is Austin and I the next morning on the way over to my Moms house- Austin looks half asleep haha
Me and my sister stayed up until 1 a.m. or so talking and hanging out- I’ve missed hanging out with her! She even tucked me in- of course, I loved it ;) She’s the best :D
Some of my nephews and nieces- Madison loved my pink mp3 player and listen to “Apple Bottom Jeans aka Low by Flo Rida” the whole time- we were singing along and dancing to it together
Jeffry was so cute in his tie
Having a good time!
McKenzie and Austin acting silly
The kids finally fell asleep- Madison and Jessica. Danielle and I ended up staying up until 3 a.m. talking and hanging out- that’s what happens when I haven’t seen my family in a while- I miss them!! Heather and I talked alot too- it was fun hanging out and catching up with everyone
From L. to R.- Jessica, Mayella and me
Me, Mayella, Mandy & Danielle all rode over to Danielle’s house and hung out there for a little while - we all have so much fun together
(ignore my hair- my stylist cut it WAY too short and I hate it- but my hair grows super fast so I hope my bangs grow up in a few days- I feel like a boy
Mandy & Madison
Madison and McKenzie helped me juice apples- everyone loved the apple juice!
My adorable nephew, J.B.
And my cute little niece, Madison- we call her Sweet and Sour Patch because she is a little sweet and a little sour -I’m the same way, but mostly sweet
And Jade- she’s such a doll- she kept running up behind me and hugging me
She missed out on our slumber party because she had already made plans to stay the night with Hannah-but we are going to plan another one. She came up to me and said, “You’re the Best”- that really made me feel special and loved- It makes me happy to be a Fun Aunt to the Kids and spend time with them
McKenzie and I got the tree and ornaments down from the Attic and we all decorated the tree!
Believe it or not, we did actually do alot of work-cleaning up the yards, packing, etc. I forgot to get pictures of the actual house!! I guess I was so busy working and having fun that I didn’t think about it- I’ll get some pictures at Thanksgiving and post them. Being with my family this weekend, really put a fire under my butt and I’m SO ready to move closer to everyone! I have noticed that my family is getting along better and we are learning to talk things out and put the past mistakes and hurts behind us because we all love each other at the end of the day- Family is really important to me and any time I go to see my family I do come back home so happy
I’m learning that no one is perfect and we can’t expect ourselves to be perfect or anyone else- it’s possible to find flaws in everyone, but why not look for the positive attributes about them instead? Anyway, off my soapbox, I was just thinking about that this weekend. Well, I need to get to work- I have alot to do..here is what I am going to try to get finished today:
- Decorate Christmas Tree (we went to Lowe’s Friday night and picked up a real tree- I just can’t do artificial- I love the smell of a real Christmas tree
- List 2 more items on Ebay-our other items are selling well! Yay!
- Product Review
- Wrap Christmas Gifts
- Download more music to mp3 from Amazon
- Go to Lowes to get Wall Sconces for the front porch and side Den door
- Return some items at Ross’
- Gym
I have lots more to do this week so I am going to make a list and tackle it everyday- Hope everyone is having a fabulous Monday!! ![]()
