Some exciting new Product Reviews!!
Dec 23rd, 2009 by Melinda
I made my nieces & nephews goodie bags for Christmas- I still need a few more things to fill them up though- I plan on doing that today
I also had some of this tea- sometimes around winter, I think I must get SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) - I am not as motivated and energized as I am in the Summer- I think it actually helped! Either way, it tasted really good
I also had about 4 organic tangelos- I had some other ones go bad on me, so I figured I would make a meal out of them and use them up!
I also got these Parma samples in the mail and I knew just what I wanted to use them with!
My organic spinach & Avocado Salad- the Parma totally made the salad 50x better!!
I loved the added “cheesy” taste!
Parma contains no dairy, no soy, no gluten, no gmo and it’s kosher and vegan, oh and it’s also Raw- love that!
The main ingredients are: organic raw walnuts, Red Star Veg Support Nutritional Yeast (this is the best Yeast for Vegans and Vegetarians) and Celtic Salt.
You can add Parma on top of salads- like I did, popcorn, pizza, grains, avocado, the list is endless! Parma is also an excellent source of B12 because of the nutritional yeast- we vegetarians and vegans need that! It also has the necessary Omega 3’s and trace minerals. For those who are interested, you can find Parma here . I know once mine runs out, I want to try the chipotle cayenne- I love spicy! These would make awesome stocking stuffers! hint hint hubby
Also a portion of the proceeds from the sale of Parma goes toward supporting animal rights- I totally love that! I haven’t really shared this alot on my blog- but I am a huge animal rights person- I love animals and believe that they were put here for humans to take care of and as a friend/companion. I even gave our squirrels pecans for Christmas- I am so silly, I even wished them Merry Christmas- I’m such a nut!
You have no idea hehe Parma is also on Facebook if you want to add them for updates (going to do that now!) as well.
So onto my second Review:
I also got these Teecino Samples in to review
Definition of Teecino:
Herbal coffee is a blend of herbs, nuts, fruits and grains that are roasted, ground and brewed just like coffee. Dark, rich, and full-bodied, Teeccino brings you all the satisfaction of a robust brew with no caffeine reaction. Teeccino tastes mildly sweet from dates and figs, but only has 15 calories per cup! Teeccino contains 65mg of potassium to give your body a natural energy lift and 365mg of inulin to enhance your digestion and improve your elimination
I added some organic cinnamon on top as well
I have to tell ya- this Teeccino tastes extremely similar to coffee and I can see adding this in with regular coffee to cut back on caffeine or even cutting out the coffee altogether if you were trying to quit coffee.
Here are some awesome benefits of Teeccino:
- Naturally caffeine- free
- No processing, no chemical residues
- Natural energy boost from nutrients instead of stimulants
- Non-acidic- helps reduce acidity and restore alkaline balance
- Rich in inulin, a soluble fiber in chicory root, that helps improve digestion & elemination plus increase the absorption of calcium & minerals
- Gluten- free
Just wanted to note that in the middle of typing this review, I just zipped over to Amazon and sent the hubby a link to add this to my Christmas list (Chocolate organic flavor), in all honesty, I did the same with the parma, but it is not sold on Amazon
I’ll have to order it through another website later.
Okay, so back to my review, before I so rudely interrupted myself
I actually made my Teeccino in the french press, but you can also make it in the coffee maker, what would have made this over the top and I don’t know why I didn’t think of it would be to whip up some foam to put on top- I’m so going to do that this week and post it! haha Usually, I skip the foam because of laziness and extra calories, but I am going to do it anyway, just for you guys!
And another note, if you would like to try a sample, just head on over to the Teeccino website and they will send you a free sample to try for yourself!!
They also have samplers (10 flavors) for only $12.99 which is a great deal!
Are you a coffee or a tea person?

Your parma salad looks so good - I need to get some more of that! Yum!
I liked teecino when I tried it but for some reason I can’t get into it…I’m going to have to give it another shot! (I met the owner of the company a few years back though and she is a doll!)
Parma sounds really interesting - might have to check that out - thanks! I am a coffee AND tea person - love them both. I alternate. I had some St. John’s Wort the other day as well. I’ve also been rocking the Echinacea tea lately to ward off colds.
I think I must get SAD too. I’ll have to look for that tea.
The Parma sounds so good too!
I love Teeccino! I use the hazelnut and java flavors mixed together and sweeten with stevia and organic half and half. It is a must to make it in the french press - comes out much better than in a coffee maker. I have kicked my 13 year coffee habit as a result of switching to Teeccino and an added bonus - I lowered my cholesterol by 25 points!
1. you can totally be my Aunt if I can get a goodie bag
2. do you drink your tea sweetened? some teas I can but the medicinal-y ones are sometimes tough… how’s that one?
3. love your reviews- always so honest!
Rebeca- I will totally be your pretend Aunt hehe
I do drink my tea sweetened- I agree with you on the medicine tasting ones uggh
Thanks, glad that you enjoy the review
