I’m back with a Giveaway!!
Jan 7th, 2010 by Melinda
Sorry I’ve been MIA- I just needed to unplug for a little while- I’ve been really busy this week!
This is my typical breakfast every morning - all organic fruits w/a squirt of agave nectar
While the hubby was working away on the bath remodel- I started cooking some lunch
I had some sirloin steak (organic, free range directly from a farm close-by) so I threw in some organic potatoes, organic carrots, vidalia onions & lots of organic seasonings & garlic- the house smelled SO good!
Um yeah- so good in fact, that Roscoe was WAITING at the oven for a taste!
(excuse my dirty oven- I need to get on that)
Hubby’s plate- steak & veggies, rice cooked in beef broth & green beans- all organic
I had an all organic salad with spinach, apples, tomatoes, and avocado- it was heaven
Oh, and here is that promised picture of the Teecino with foam- this is the BEST drink ever (pretty much as good or better than drinking a cappucino!) And the hubby did get me the Teecino for my Christmas prezzie!
I also got this package in to review from Sun & Earth Products
I’m all about all natural/organic cleaners so I was super excited about trying these new cleaning products!
Sun and Earth offers a full line of natural cleaning products and biodegradable detergents. Their green eco-friendly cleaners are organic, non-toxic, biodegradable, vegan and better for the environment. Their products are also not tested on animals
All of Sun and Earths products are free from petroleum-based cleaners, chlorine, phosphates, dyes and perfumes that leave behind residue that could be harmful to your family, children and pet’s health.
My review of Sun & Earth products:
I received the laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid and all purpose cleaner to review. I loved the fresh, orange scent of the cleaners- my whole house smells like oranges now! I also loved how the all-purpose cleaner cleaned my bathtub & sinks so well! Another huge plus is that their cleaners are made from plant, fruit and vegetable oils- nothing toxic- it was nice to be able to breathe and not be inhaling toxins
I would highly recommend these cleaners, especially at their low prices! You can check out their products online here or a retailer here and they are also available at http://www.Amazon.com and
http://www.Alice.com. If you haven’t switched over to organic/natural cleaning products, I would definitely encourage you to make that a goal for this year.
Do you currently use “eco-friendly cleaners” in your home?
So for the EXCITING news!!! Sun and Earth has kindly offered to give 1 reader one of each of the products above!! Yay- awesome right?? Unfortunately, this giveaway is only open to U.S. Residents- sorry. So there are 2 ways to enter- you can:
- Blog about this giveaway
- Twitter about this giveaway
I will use Random. org to choose a winner and will announce the winner Monday, January 11th!
Okay, so back to regular programming posting…
I had lots of Lindt chocolate, some organic chocolates and some organic pb that needed to be used so I thought I’d make the hubby something sweet
Melted Chocolates & peanut butter mixed together with organic sugar..
I used the leftover pb to mix together with some organic oats + dark chocolate chips
Voila! Healthy Reeses PB cups & PB chocolate chip oat balls
Later, the hubby went to his parents to chop up a dead tree & got some firewood
That should keep us warm for a little while
Plus we have more logs that the hubby has to chop- I did try but got scared when the axe missed and I almost got my little toe- eek!
We fed the squirrels some almonds - they stand on the fence waiting on nuts- so stinkin cute!
Later for dinner, hubby had these Thai noodles with a vegetarian spring roll
And I had a salad- guess I was craving some greens!
We also loaded up on groceries this week- I got alot of great deals!
