Pizza Night =)

Right now, I am sitting here having a Berry Green Smoothie- finally putting my organic berries to use- I picked these at a blueberry patch with my sister last year. I think I will start adding these in my Green Monsters for extra antioxidants
Spinach, blueberries, 2% milk, 1 orange, 1/2 banana, maca, bee pollen, stevia, wheatgrass & agave-all organic goodness
Backtracking to yesterday- this was me before the gym- I am reviewing a new Facial product and I swear my skin looks brighter! I am going to give it another week or so, then I will unveil my product review
I decided to make a “yogurt mess” before hitting the gym- my ingredients
It ended up way too much for me to eat alone- so I convinced the hubby to share with me
He liked it, surprisingly!
I used some Maple Cashew Butter that Tierra Farms sent to me in the yogurt mess- sooo good!
Tierra Farm is a small, privately-owned, certified organic producer and roasting company in upstate New York. We maintain a diversified organic vegetable farm in the Finger Lakes region of New York state, but specialize in nut and seed roasting and dried fruits. At Tierra Farm, we strive for A+ quality in all of our products.
As true believers in organic foods as a way to nurture the land and the body, we only handle and sell certified organic products — and we make no exceptions! All of our roasting, mixing and flavoring is conducted in-house, at our certified organic, peanut-free roasting and processing facility.
Tierra Farms sent me lots of different products to review- one of my favorites was this…
Organic Chocolate Covered Almonds- healthy chocolate snacks- count me in!!
I also really enjoyed the organic golden hunza raisins and maple cashew butter from Tierra farms
And who could forget- the maple glazed nuts. Nuts are even better when covered in maple sweetness YUM!
I also really like the Ginger Agave nuts that I sampled as well as the pistachios.
Seriously, you should go check out the many products that they carrry- like the chocolate hazelnut butter or chocolate honey cashew butter, Date coconut rolls and every kind of nut/seeds that you can imagine!
Hubby brought me home some fresh made bread (right next door to their office) that his Mom got for me
And also a healthy, whole grain (they even grind their own wheat!) cookie as big as my head!!! Btw, I went to go look for it this morning for breakfast and it was GONE! The hubby must have taken it to work for Breakfast- oh well, guess that saved me the extra sugar and fat calories I didn’t need- thanks hubby!
After our workout- I was starving!
So I grabbed this baby out of the freezer
I restrained myself and only had 2 slices and saved the rest for the next day
Hubby had his Red Baron Supreme pizza.
I also had a small spinach salad (*source- google images)
Yesterday during our workout at the gym- we added some extra time to our workout by adding the treadmill and extra weights- so our total time was 1.5 hours. The hubby told me afterward that he would have been fine to work out another 30 minutes, so we decided that we will start adding on an extra 15 minutes each time- so hopefully tonight, we can work out for 1 hour and 45 minutes and keep moving up until we feel comfortable.
I stayed up and watched Real Housewives of Orange County- drama drama! Kind of embarrassed to admit that I watch this
Anyone else like reality shows? My faves are RHOOC, Biggest Loser, Millionaire Matchmaker- I think that’s it. It’s so much fun to watch how other people live their lives
I’ve also been making some dietary changes, not being as strict with my food choices- I am thinking that maybe by eating too strict of a diet (mostly Raw Vegan) that it is causing me not to lose weight like I want to- has anyone ever had that experience of eating too less and not losing? Now that I’m eating some different things like raw cheeses, organic pizza, etc. I haven’t gained any and I feel like this may be my answer to toning up- I am going to test it out for a few weeks and I’ll definitely be reporting back to let you guys know how I am doing!
Today’s Agenda:
- Make more Raw Cookies
- Sit in sunshine & pray
- T.J. Maxx Run
- Gym
- Dinner & a movie
Also, you can get a free sample of Dunkin Donuts coffee here! I’m really not a big fan, but I got some for the hubby or when we have company ![]()

yum i LOVE chocolate covered almonds and the smoothie looks so good!! have a great nightt
You can definitely stall weight loss if you aren’t eating enough calories. 12 x your bodyweight is usually a good calorie range to be dieting at. And why do you want to be working out more than 1.5 hours/day? That really is sufficient enough to get in a quality workout. I hope it doesn’t sound like I’m critiquing you since I know I’m newer to your blog and all, but I just have made the mistakes of working out too much and eating too little and having it backfire a ton.
And I love reality shows. Biggest Loser and The Bachelor are my current favorites.
PS - You are gorgeous!!!
Tina- I’ve eaten Raw Vegan for several years and it always worked for me and I was at a perfect healthy weight and happy. Then in 2009 for some reason (hormones I believe) I gained 15 lbs- this was with me eating really healthy and hitting the gym 5x per week. That’s when I started rethinking Raw Vegan for my body- I’ve just now started adding back in some proteins to see if it helps with me losing this 15 lbs. I guess I figured that if I worked out more strenuously I would tone up and drop the pounds quicker- although I’ve been eating more to sustain me for longer workouts- I’m definitely not eating too little calories, especially now. I definitely appreciate your advice- I think you’re right 1-1.5 hours is more than plenty of a workout. I am just trying to do this the healthy way
Thanks for the sweet compliment!
Hey Melinda,
Your smoothie looks delish! Love that colour.
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I love meeting other Christian food bloggers - there aren’t too many of us out there that I’ve discovered!
