You’ll have to wait until the end to see who the won the giveaway!  Or you could just skip ahead ;)

Wow, it has been a long week and I am so happy about my 3 day weekend! We have been so busy already- here is what I have been up to:

  • Raked & Mowed Lawn
  • Hubby put some sod down on some areas that were bare.
  • Cut hubby’s hair
  • Gave Roscoe a bath
  • Library
  • Redbox Movies- Leap Year, Legion, The Crazies - big thumbs up for all of these! We also watched “When in Rome” definitely not my favorite movie- it was slightly corny, not well acted at all.
  • Ordered hubby some new tennis shoes online- they should be in sometime next week.
  • Picked up hangers from consignment shop to get clothes ready to bring in.
  • Made Homemade tomato soup (fresh tomatoes out of my garden) for next week.
  • Weeded Vegetable Garden.

Speaking of Vegetable Gardens- I have TONS of these little cherry toms that I have been eating like crazy in salads or just dipped in hummus :)

And these 2 mini watermelons from our garden- hopefully they are sweet!

At the Library on Friday- I finally found the book I’ve been wanting to read! Sophie Kinsella is my Favorite Author of all time- Love her books! I’ve already read a few pages and it’s fabulous! I love Chick Lit as well like Meg Cabot and I can read anything about Health, Herbal remedies- that does fascinate me. I hate books that are depressing or are murder mysteries or if it drones on and on about history- it’s just not me- I can’t pretend to like them. What kind of books do you guys like?

I organized my closet a little- still more work to do here.

And we went to dinner last night- to a newer restaurant that we had been wanting to try out.

Loved the Restaurant decor- that is old salvaged brick from the Flint River Brick Company- I love things with history :)

I ordered the Salad- of course ;) It came with a tomato vinaigrette- this was the most amazing salad that I’ve had in a long time! I shared some with the hubby because I couldn’t eat it all.

The hubby had the Chef Special- Pacific Sea Bass with wilted spinach & artichokes- I had a bite and it was delicious!

It was nice to get away from the House Remodeling and have a nice dinner & chat :D

Here is the agenda for later today:

  • Make Homemade icecream for the hubby.
  • Grill.
  • Do some tanning & reading.
  • Maybe go biking.
  • Make Eggplant Parmesan (Raw Vegan)
  • Get Consignment clothes put on hangers and ready to drop off next week.

And the winner of the Gnu Bar Giveaway is…..Matt!!! Please email me your deets and I’ll have this shipped out asap- thanks everyone for playing. I have another giveaway coming up right behind this one- so be sure to come back to see what it is!!

CSN Upcoming Review

Remember when I had that CSN Giveaway? Well, CSN has contacted me once again and this time I will be doing a product review! They have over 200 stores that offer anything from handbags to dining room tables . I could seriously shop online at CSN all day long ;) I love how easy their website is to navigate around and let’s not forget the fabulous prices! Be sure to come back and check out what I choose to review from CSN Stores later on next week!

Another Giveaway!

Hey guys, sorry I wasn’t able to post sooner- I am hosting a small but awesome giveaway, you’ll have to read on down after the post to see!

So Sunday I did tan but went inside after an hour- it was scorching out!

Tanning materials ;)

Tuesday:

I had a hot date with the hubby for dinner on Tuesday night :D

I had a HUGE Salad.

Hubby had sliders & fries.

Wednesday:

I went to my follow up interview today to meet with the two charge nurses that I would be working with at the Hospital. The interview honestly could not have gone any better! I instantly hit it off with both of the girls and they showed me around the medical records room, break room, where my desk would be and I was introduced to a few employees. They were really impressed with my resume and that I had previous medical records experience- as soon as I got out of the interview, I typed up a thank you letter to send- I really have a feeling that I will get the job- I sure hope so! I was so excited that I wrote a list of pros about the job!

  • I will do LOTS of walking= burning calories= weight loss :)
  • My uniform will be scrubs so I don’t have to worry about trying to figure out what to wear or set out outfits for the weekend- so weird, but I am kind of excited about that! (I will just have to dress up my outfits with jewelry ;)
  • Benefits- Medical/Dental/Vision, 401K, Holidays, 2-3 weeks vacay, Sick Leave.
  • Love my “boss” and charge nurses already!
  • 2.5 minutes to work- no kidding!
  • Starbucks at my job :D
  • Have a desk to myself.
  • Nice Lounge Area.
  • Room to grow/Promotion-make more $$

Okay, I know you guys are ready for the giveaway :D

Gnu Bars recently sent me some of their bars along with the two new flavors- Lemon Ginger Bar & Espresso Chip Bar. I loved the Espresso Chip Bar- I could definitely taste the coffee in this bar! I also love the Lemon Ginger bar- very lemony & the ginger gave it a nice taste.  I love that Gnu bars have 12 g. fiber per bar, vegan, dairy free and are naturally fruit juice sweetened. These are great to just throw in your purse for when you get snacky - for me, they are great with a coffee when I am shopping ;)

So onto the giveaway- This giveaway is for 6 Gnu Bars including the new flavors so you can try them out for yourself! :) All you have to do is “friend” Gnu Bars on Facebook and come back here and leave me a comment telling me you did so- I will announce the winner on Sunday and ship the bars out on Monday. Good luck to everyone! :D

That is all. My plans for the rest of the day are:

  • put up laundry
  • organize my closet and consign clothes, shoes, purses
  • hit the gym with the hubby later tonight.

Hope everyone is having a fabulous week!! :D

Productive Saturday!

My sister and I did go by Starbucks then the mall yesterday and ended up shopping until after 8:00. I did buy a couple of things, but I found one awesome thing that I am really excited about! You’ll have to read on down to see!

My sister, Shelly.

I got this fabulous ceramic mug at Starbucks for like $11- I used both of my gift cards so I was able to only pay $6 bucks for it- I LOVE It!

And I got these cute sunglasses from Aeropastle for $5.99. Can’t wait to wear these to the beach!

And this tee from American Eagle for $3.97 after their 20% discount today.

Saturday:

I just finished taking a long hot bath and have the kettle on now to make myself a cup of green tea! This has literally been the perfect Saturday- I was able to get so much done

  • washed the sheets
  • made the bed
  • organized the linen closet
  • organized/cleaned out the laundry room
  • gave Roscoe a bath
  • recorded movies & shows on DVR
  • weeded in the garden
  • made gluten free pasta salad
  • put up laundry
  • cleaned the oven
  • vacuumed the couches
  • did some juicing
  • cleaned the fridge
  • emptied the trash
  • and dusted.

Since I was able to get so much done today, it will free me up tomorrow to do some tanning, maybe some shopping and listen to some church sermons. I do need to choose (or go buy) an outfit for my interview on Wednesday.

The hubby got the tire on his bike fixed, the bathroom closet almost finished up (he is working on it right now).

Now I am getting ready to sit down with my cup of tea and watch a movie or two. Life is good ;) Be back this weekend with a giveaway!! :D

It’s Friday- Yay!!

YAY!! So happy it’s Friday!! I have plans after work to hit up the mall and Starbucks with my sister :D

We plan on hitting up Bath and Body Works (we have coupons!) and maybe stop by Aeropastle to see what they have, although I don’t plan on buying because I still am working on losing weight. But looking at cute clothes will help motivate me ;) Then I plan on hitting the gym later with the hubby and hopefully spend some quality time together watching movies and eating popcorn. The perfect Friday night. Do you guys have any plans?

It’s been a long week and a LOT has happened! So I want to update you guys!

I went to a Job Interview Wednesday and it went pretty good- this is such a perfect opportunity, the job has medical/dental, 401 K, a Starbucks at our office, TONS of room for promotion/continued education! The lady who would be my boss told me how much she would help me along and if she sees skills in her employees she helps find them jobs better suited for them plus I would be cross trained in several fields at a time which would give me lots of experience. This would be the perfect company to work for- I have a follow up interview next Wednesday and will be meeting the 2 Charge Nurses I will be working with and I am praying that they like me and everything goes well! :D

I did talk to my boss and told him I had an interview coming up and he understood and finally he went ahead and put out an advertisement for my job. Which I’m happy about- I would like to see my sister have an experienced and licensed person to work with who can help her with the workload.

Anyway, I have tons planned for the weekend and I’m so ready!! Hope you are all having a fabulous Friday!!

Winner Winner!!

The 2 winners are:

Hey guys, told you I’d be back with a giveaway today! George at Dr. Kracker was kind enough to allow me to host this giveaway for Fit and Fabulous Readers :) I personally am excited for you guys because I love Dr. Kracker- my two personal favorites are the Pumpkin Roasted and Fire Roasted- yum! In order to enter this giveaway you need to do these three things (you can do it all in one post- I’m not going to ask you to leave 3 seperate comments) :

  1. Tell me your favorite way to eat crackers.
  2. What would be your favorite flavor cracker if you could create one?
  3. Have you had a bad cracker experience? If so, please share.

There will be 2 winners- each winner will receive a 4 pack of Dr. Kracker. I will announce the winners Thursday, June 24th. Okay, can’t wait to hear all of your answers! Good luck! :D

Baby Fever

Okay, so here is a pic of my new hair..he did cut it a little shorter than I asked..

But I’m getting used to it- I just need to play around with it some. What do you guys think?

I also got in the stuff that I ordered!

I was really excited about my Nutritional Yeast- I’ve been out for some time and have missed it!

After work on Friday, Mom picked me up and we went to TJ Maxx and Ross’s :D

I have been looking for some glass storage containers and these were the perfect size!

I put them to use immediately. For some reason those spaghetti noodles are freaking me out- they look like worms!

The hubby also got a new toy ;)

Today I had a baby shower to go to and I also got to hang out with my family some- which was really nice :D

I hung out with my niece Brooke mostly- she is so cute, isn’t she?

After the shower, I went back to my sister’s house to hang out with her some. She showed me the baby room for Olivia.

And now I want a baby, just for the cute stuff. Really though, wouldn’t it be so much fun to have a little girl to dress up?

We stopped on the way back home to grab a bag of these jalapeno chips- I was starving b/c there was nothing that I liked at the baby shower. These were really good and hot, just like I like ‘em ;)

*Be back tomorrow with a giveaway!! :D

Sorry I haven’t commented back to anyone or posted the giveaway. My computer at home is not working, hopefully it will be back up soon and I can post! Hope you are all having a great Friday!! :D

Hairstyle help!

It was a rough afternoon at the office today-I really don’t want to go into it, I’m just happy that today is over! The good news is that this afternoon is shaping up  to be much better! I came home, put on some coffee and sat down at the computer and applied for 2 jobs at the hospital this afternoon and also loaded the dishwasher. I really would love to work at our local hospital because they have great benefits and a Starbucks- perfect! :D I am hoping for something where I can work hard, but not be stressed out- I want to make choices in life that make me happy- agree?

Current hairstyle=not working :(

I also set up an appointment to have my hair cut tomorrow- I’m so excited- my hair is getting WAY too long and unmanageable. Right now, the only thing I can do with it is to curl it, but that takes so much time in the mornings and I want something more low maintenance since I am working. Here is what I am thinking of having done- what do you guys think?

Just the cut, not the color obviously ;)

or something a little shorter maybe??

My hair grows like a weed, so I really need at least 3-4 inches cut off so my haircuts will last longer.

Can’t wait! I will have to post some pictures tomorrow! :)

This is totally random, but the other night the hubby came and got me to show me our “visitor”..

Now, normally I am deathly afraid of frogs and I will scream if one comes near me. But this one was sooo cute- look at his little hands (is that the correct term?) crossed and his bug eyes. Honestly, I still wouldn’t touch him but he is the cutest frog I’ve ever seen in my life :)

That is all. I am going to put up some laundry now and give Roscoe a bath and go to bed early. Roscoe has been keeping us up every night this week and I have serious undereye circles going on. Please come back tomorrow because I am going to be having a giveaway- hope you are all having a fabulous week! :D
